{"id":124,"date":"2011-06-15T22:52:13","date_gmt":"2011-06-15T22:52:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chinagriffith.com\/journal\/?p=124"},"modified":"2012-01-03T08:15:00","modified_gmt":"2012-01-03T08:15:00","slug":"a-love-letter-to-my-wife","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chinagriffith.com\/journal\/?p=124","title":{"rendered":"A Love Letter to My Wife"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dearest Stacey<\/p>\n<p>It will be 22 years in June,\u00c2\u00a0 actually 26 since we met in the winter of 85 at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0088847\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Breakfast Club<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 All the cliches about the years flying by are true, especially when you stand on the precipice of a now that has many years behind it, and those years just keep passing by and passing by.\u00c2\u00a0 The magic of memory and time allows me to be present and remember a moment long ago; I can feel both the immediacy of the past and the distance in between.\u00c2\u00a0 I realize now by comparison how little we really knew then.\u00c2\u00a0 How young and how naive; and yet how else are you to start out?
